Hi,
My name is James Cotta. This web site is dedicated to my athletic endeavors. I quit smoking 5 years ago and started riding bicycle. Most of my spare time is spent riding bicycle. Sometimes I ride as much as 250 miles a week, other times less than 50.
My first bicycle was a Cannondale CAAD3. Then I moved up to a Trek 5.2 and I am currently riding a Roubaix SL which I love and will have a hard time replacing when that time comes.
I just started racing criteriums last summer and I realize now, I like to go really fast.........! I am now a CAT 5 and ready to move to CAT 4. I am anxious to get out of the beginners Category!
This web site is basically about my experiences and travels on a bike. My goal is that in 2 years I want to be ready and participate in the senior games in Utah and compete in the time trial criterium and the road race.
I smoked for 26 years so if it seems like I am not acting my age it is because I feel so young and have all this energy and freedom that I didn't have when I smoked. Smoking was like being in prison, it controlled my life, my time, my thoughts, pretty much every thing I did. Now I realize how stupid I was letting something like that control my life. Now I control it!
Thanks,
James Cotta
